Redmi Note 11, Note 11S with 90Hz AMOLED display and 5000mAh battery launched: price and specifications
Redmi has introduced a series of smartphones Redmi Note 11, consisting of two new phones – Redmi Note 11 and Redmi Note 11S. A few weeks ago, Xiaomi introduced the entire Redmi Note 11 series around the world. The new series is the successor to the Redmi Note 10 series launched last year.
The Redmi Note 11 series phones feature a 90Hz AMOLED screen, quad cameras, a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging, MIUI 13 and more. The new Redmi Note 11 series aims to take market share in the sub-$267 segment. Let’s take a look at the price of Redmi Note 11 and Redmi Note 11S, their specs and features.
Redmi Note 11, Note 11S: price and sale date
The Redmi Note 11 series phones will be available on Amazon, Mi Store, and retail stores from February 21, 2022. The Redmi Note 11 comes in three memory configurations: 4GB + 64GB priced at $180, 4GB + 128GB priced at $200 and 6GB + 128GB priced at $214.
The Redmi Note 11S also comes in three memory configurations: 6GB + 64GB priced at $220, 6GB + 128GB priced at $234, and 8GB + 128GB priced at $247. Both phones will be available in three colors – Space Black, Polar White and Horizon Blue.
Redmi Note 11, Note 11S: full specifications
Both phones feature a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The phones have a 90Hz screen refresh rate, DCI-P3 color gamut, and 1,000 nits of peak brightness.
The vanilla Note 11 comes with a Snapdragon 680 SoC under the hood paired with an Adreno 610 GPU, while the Note 11S is powered by a MediaTek Helio G96 processor paired with a Mali G-57 GPU. Both devices have LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The phones weigh 179 grams and measure 159 x 73 x 8.09mm. The Redmi Note 11S has 3GB of virtual memory, while the vanilla Note 11 has 2GB of virtual memory.
In terms of optics, the Note 11 features a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, a 13-megapixel front camera is provided. On the other hand, the Note 11S features a 108MP Samsung HM2 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and two 2MP sensors for depth and macro. It has a 16-megapixel front camera sensor. There is a cutout for the front camera on both devices at the top center of the screen.
Both devices run MIUI 13 based on Android 11 out of the box and pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. Other features of the devices include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, AI face unlock, microSD support, Bluetooth 5.0, dual speakers with Hi-Res Audio certification. Sensors on devices – proximity, ambient light, accelerometer, electronic compass, IR blaster, gyroscope.
