Alan Wake American Nightmare PC Release Delayed on Xbox Game Pass and Won’t Be Available October 28
Alan Wake Remastered came as a surprise to the entire gaming community, but it was greatly appreciated. Soon after, fans were hoping that Alan Wake’s much-loved downloadable sequel to Remedy’s modern cult classic, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, would also be remastered, but to the chagrin of fans, Remedy confirmed that they have no plans for a remaster at this time.
However, the game was planned to be released on Xbox Game Pass as part of the latest batch of games intended for that platform. According to the announcement, the game is set to release on October 28 on Game Pass for PC and console. However, it has just been confirmed that the PC release will have to wait a bit and there will be no target October 28 release date.
American Nightmare by Alan Wake will be available on consoles before the release of Game Pass on PC
Update: Alan Wake’s American Nightmare won’t be hitting Xbox Game Pass on PC October 28 like we initially planned. we’re bummed too, but it’ll be available for PC after it arrives on console. we’ll share updates soon
American Nightmare by Alan Wake was part of the line along with 10 other games including Outriders for PC, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and Age of Empires IV. It looks like console players will be able to jump straight into the Americana nightmare that awaits them in this absolutely insane sequel to Alan Wake.
Alan Wake’s American Nightmare isn’t a full-fledged sequel, but it’s a very well-made game that’s a lot more campy and self-aware than its predecessor. The tone is very different, and the game doesn’t stop making occasional references to the absurdity and ridiculousness of the plot, adding a layer of comedy mixed with horror, which is a pretty solid combination.
Unfortunately, PC players will have to wait a bit to get the game on Xbox Game Pass, but it will finally be coming to the platform soon. The console is still slated for release on October 28th, with more information to be made available closer to launch.
