Resident Evil 4 Remake: Reimagined Scenario and Modernized Gameplay

The Resident Evil 4 remake lives up to the intent of the original release.

Crafted from the ground up using Capcom’s RE Engine to deliver realistic visuals and add depth to storytelling, Resident Evil 4’s remake retains the essence of the original opus. The Resident Evil 2 Remake development team has created a modern take on survival horror with frantic battles against the villagers of Ganado, exploration in a frantic European village, and puzzle solving to access new areas and collect useful items in Leon and Ashley’s constant struggle to survive.

Years of intense training taught Leon S. Kennedy new knife techniques that helped him even the odds against the relentless onslaught of enemies. By parrying enemy attacks, players can avoid debilitating damage and dodge enemies trying to grab Leon and hold him in place. They can skillfully use knives to land precise finishing blows on vulnerable enemies, and even use the element of surprise to stealthily take out unsuspecting enemies before their knives break. Resident Evil 4 Remake also emphasizes feelings of loneliness and fear of enemies blinded by the fanaticism of the original version, offering a more subtle approach to the characters’ motivations and relationships.
