Yann Demange plans to direct a mature film “Blade”
With enough time to meet with various candidates, Marvel was able to focus on a writer and director who could set the right tone for the new Blade adaptation. While it probably won’t be as dark as previous films, Marvel wants to use a darker tone for this than it has for other Marvel Cinematic Universe projects in the past. After weeks of meetings, French director Yann Demange landed the job following a presentation that sparked enthusiasm from Marvel Studios experts.
