Rockstar Officially Apologizes For GTA: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition, Promises Fixes And Updates
GTA: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition garnered a mostly negative reaction, with fans generally agreeing that the remasters were a bit raw and not nearly as good as they could be. While Rockstar did manage to make a few notable strides in certain areas of the game, most agree that the three games as a whole lacked rework.
On a positive note, Rockstar Games has actually responded to the backlash and backlash and acknowledged the shortcomings of their latest release. Since its release, some members of the GTA: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition development team have been subject to a lot of social media harassment, which is disturbing to say the least. What’s even more troubling is that this isn’t a single event, but rather a worrying pattern that has emerged in recent times, especially after launching for major game releases.
Rockstar also acknowledged the severe fan backlash over the removal of classic versions of GTA Trilogy from PC. To that end, Rockstar will soon be adding Classic PV versions back to the Rockstar Store as a bundle. In addition, PC players who purchase Trilogy – Definitive Edition will receive the classic version for free in their Rockstar Games Launcher library.
