Warhammer 40,0000 Darktide is Fatshark’s new FPS and Hack & Slash experience. Before you jump into the game and fight your way through the hordes of the undead, you need to create your character. Compared to the previous Vermintide, this game offers a lot of character customization options. And it’s not just your personality. Unlike most other games, the choices you make when creating your character will affect your gameplay.

Create an operative

There are four Operators in the game and you can choose them according to your play style. They each have abilities and passives, so check them out before choosing.

• Veteran Sniper – These operatives are deadly with ranged weapons. So, if you prefer to use a pistol rather than a melee weapon, you should choose this operative.
• Fanatic preacher. These Operators are ruthless and perfect for players who like to rush their enemies. These pious warriors will fight harder the more they get tired.
• Psyker Psykinetic – Players who like fast-paced gameplay should choose these Operators. They use psychokinetic abilities to shoot energy balls and charge their weapons.
• Ogryn Skullbreaker are the tanks in the game. They can take massive damage and return it.

Background and appearance

Here you can customize your look and also give your character a backstory by adding some depth. First, you will need to select your Homeworld. There are 8 planets, each with its own history. Then choose your character’s childhood and growing up story. They also added a defining moment, such as advancement on the field, which is a special memory for your character.

After creating a backstory, you move on to your character’s appearance. There are tons of options to choose from such as physique, face, eye color, tattoos, scars, height, and more. A wide range of possibilities makes your character truly unique. After creating your character’s appearance, you move on to creating and customizing a personality in Darktide. This mechanic affects your character’s voice and how they interact with other characters. Each operative has three personality options. This:
