According to some players, in Dredge you can find and catch an Anglerfish at coordinates B3 and C3 near the Star Pool. For those who don’t know, this fish belongs to the Abyssal and Hadal type of fish. It can only be caught after the Bottomless Lines update has been installed on the rod. Players can obtain this equipment by completing the first part of the chase to collect all the samples in chapter 3. In this side quest, you are helping an explorer who asks you to find the following creatures.
- Medusa Aurora
- Firefly
- glowing octopus
After that, she will reward you with a Sampling Device, which will give you access to Abyssal and Hadal fish. It also allows you to get Bottomless Lines equipment for your fishing rod using 1x Research Part.
Once you’ve caught the Anglerfish, you can always head to the Fishmonger located in the Big Marrow. And sell it for a good amount of money or crab traps if you like. However, make sure you sell the fish when it is fresh, otherwise its condition will deteriorate along with its value. The condition of the fish is reduced by one level after every 12 hours you spend. And there are 4 condition levels in the game such as Fresh, Stale, Rotting and Infected.
