Red Sonja: Matilda Lutz as Hyrcania Warrior
Italian actress Mathilde Lutz will star in Red Sonja, a film set in a distant and fictional era of the Conan the Barbarian stories.
Based on the sword and sorcery comic of the same name published by Dynamite Entertainment, Red Sonja is based on a heroine created by Robert E. Howard and adapted by Roy Thomas. Although the character is billed as a formidable warrior with excellent swordsmanship, details of the film adaptation’s plot are still being kept under wraps.

The cast of Red Sonja, currently filming at Nu Boyana Studios in Bulgaria with additional filming scheduled for the end of the month at Nu Boyana Studios in Greece, includes Red Sonja singer Mathilde Lutz, Wallis Day, Robert Sheehan, Michael Bisping, Martin Ford, Eliza Matengu, Manal El Feituri, Katrina Durden and Oliver Trevena.
