Samsung Galaxy A13 5G appears on FCC, confirming moniker

Samsung is preparing to release the Samsung Galaxy A13 5G smartphone. Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen a few new details about this upcoming phone. The device was spotted on Geekbench last month. In addition, renders and specifications of the A13 5G were leaked online a few weeks ago. Before the official launch, the Galaxy A13 5G received the necessary FCC certification. The FCC certification confirms the Galaxy A13 5G moniker and also reveals the details of the phone’s charging capability.

Samsung Galaxy A13 5G received FCC certification

The Galaxy A13 5G has model number SM-A136U according to FCC certification data. The FCC listing states that the device will offer 15W charging support. A past leak suggests that the Galaxy A13 5G will feature a 6.48-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display. The device is supposed to run in three RAM and storage configuration is 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage options, and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The phone is rated to run Android 11 out of the box with the One UI 3.1 skin on top. Under the hood, the A13 5G could be powered by the Dimensity 700 chipset.

In terms of optics details, the smartphone should have a triple camera on the back. The camera module on the back may consist of a 50-megapixel main camera sensor. The 50MP sensor is expected to be accompanied by a 5MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP depth sensor.

The selfie section of the phone can be handled by an 8-megapixel camera. The smartphone is rumored to have a 5,000mAh battery that will support 15W charging, as listed in FCC filings. The dimensions of the phone can be 164.5 mm x 76.5 mm x 8.9 mm. For security purposes, the smartphone may be equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The device is said to be launched in the US and Canada for around $250. The South Korean smartphone maker is expected to introduce the Galaxy A13 5G in four color options – black, orange, blue and white.
