Samsung launched its A-series phone, the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G, on the market last week. The latest A-series phone offers an AMOLED display and a quad rear camera. It is equipped with an Exynos 1280 processor and a 5000 mAh battery. The Galaxy A53 will go on sale in the country for the first time today. The Galaxy A53 comes in two configurations – 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB. The 6 GB + 128 GB variant costs $460. Whereas the 8GB + 128GB variant of the A53 costs $473.

As a starter offer, Samsung is offering $40 instant cashback with ICICI credit and debit cards. The company says the phone is only available to users who have pre-booked it. However, when we tried to place an order for the Galaxy A53, the Samsung India website allowed us to place the order. Samsung Galaxy A53 5G: specifications and features

The Galaxy A53 5G offers a 6.5-inch Full HD+ sAMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 800 nits peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The phone is powered by an Exynos 1280 octa-core processor and a Mali G68 GPU. The system on a chip has up to 8 GB of memory and 128 GB of internal memory. The latest A-series phone comes preloaded with OneUI 4.1 based on Android 12.

The Galaxy A53 5G offers a quad rear camera setup including a 64MP main sensor with OIS support. In addition to it, there is a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5 MP macro sensor and a 5 MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, it uses a 32-megapixel camera.

The latest A-series phone packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging. However, Samsung does not ship the charger in a retail box. The Galaxy A53 5G has a Type-C charging port, micro-SD card slot, stereo speaker setup, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The Galaxy A53 5G is available in four color options: peach, blue, black, and white. Its dimensions are 159.6 × 74.8 × 8.1 mm and it weighs 189 grams. In terms of connectivity, it offers dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, Glonass, and NFC.
