Samsung Galaxy S21 FE Could Arrive in January at CES 2022: Here’s What You Need to Know
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is expected to launch in January 2022 as part of the company’s portfolio at CES 2022. Contrary to previous rumors that the device may have been canceled due to a recurring chipset supply crisis, SamMobile’s latest report says. that the device will now be on display at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next year. Further reports confirming the upcoming launch claimed that an “affordable”version of Samsung’s flagship smartphone series could go on sale within a few weeks of the early January announcement, coinciding with the dates of the event.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE: expected specifications
In terms of general specs, most reports detail a fair amount of specs that the Galaxy S21 FE is expected to hit. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC, so it comes with flagship performance specs. By the time of the launch, Qualcomm is about to launch its next generation flagship chipset, which could be called Snapdragon 895 or 898, which could therefore make the 888 Plus an old generation processor. However, rumors suggest that the S21 FE could have up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which is in line with flagship-level specs.
As for other features, the smartphone features a 6.4-inch display with an AMOLED panel and a 120Hz refresh rate, a feature that is becoming more affordable in cheaper smartphones as well. Other features include a center-aligned front-camera punch hole and thin bezels around the display. The phone is also speculated to be released in six common color options – red, orange, white, lavender, mint, and navy blue. It also packs a triple rear camera setup, topped by a 64MP main sensor, plus an ultra-wide unit and a depth sensor. The tow is also expected to carry a 4,500mAh battery with some degree of fast charging support.
It’s also expected to have all the usual connectivity features, including 5G and dual-band Wi-Fi. More details should come soon, given that the launch is expected in the coming months.
