Samsung integrates NFT into its Smart TVs on a dedicated platform
Samsung announces a platform for integrating NFT into its Smart TVs. NFTs can be bought, sold and viewed in an optimal way.
2021 has been a huge year for the NFT, that’s a fact. If you didn’t know the concept before 2021, you’ve most likely learned it in the past twelve months, whether it’s through tech savvy, celebrity commercials, or even local news. NFTs are on everyone’s lips, but they’re not everywhere yet. Samsung is actively working on their expansion.
Samsung announces NFT integration platform for its Smart TVs
Unsurprisingly, over the course of several months, many tech giants have been integrating non-fungible tokens (NFTs) into their products unveiled at CES 2022. The last notable product to date is likely from Samsung. The South Korean giant recently announced a new “NFT aggregation platform”developed for its Smart TV.
The platform, which will be available on Samsung MicroLed, Neo QLED and The Frame models, will allow users to view and purchase NFT directly from their TVs. The platform retrieves lists of NFTs available for purchase from multiple marketplaces so that users can view the creations in question, as well as a number of interesting details such as the original creator of the work, as well as some other metadata recorded on the blockchain.
It will be possible to buy, sell and optimally visualize your NFTs.
Those who already own an NFT can also use this platform to show others their collection. Samsung also points out that its “Smart Calibration”technology can automatically adjust TV settings to accurately reproduce the characteristics specified by the original creator of the work and ensure that the user sees the image on the TV as faithfully as possible.
Samsung does not specify when this platform will be rolled out. We should find out more during CES 2022. To be continued!
