Samsung is styling its new M8 smart monitor
Samsung launches new Smart Monitor M8, 32-inch, 4K and many built-in features and services.
If there’s anything really smart about the design of Apple products, it’s that they’re built to work great together. So everything in the room is very pleasing to the eye, very homogeneous. This is especially true of the latest Studio Display, which feels right at home next to a Mac Studio, MacBook Air, or MacBook Pro. Samsung presents a new alternative solution.

The problem, unfortunately, with Apple-branded products is that they are quite expensive. The Studio Display is no exception, available from €1,749. If you like the aesthetics offered by the Cupertino company but don’t want to pay the asking prices, Samsung’s new Smart Monitor M8 might be of interest. Indeed, it must be admitted that their design is very successful.
32 inches, 4K and many built-in features and services
These screens were originally announced at CES 2022. They are finally on sale today for $730, which is quite reasonable if you know the beast’s specs. This monitor offers a 32-inch diagonal, which is more than Studio Display, 4K resolution, less than the 5K offered by Studio Display, but if 4K is more than enough for you, this will not be a problem.
And, as the name suggests, it’s a smart display. Keep in mind that the product has some very interesting third-party features, such as the ability to watch Netflix natively even when no device is connected to it. Other streaming services are supported, as well as some apps like Google Docs and even AirPlay 2. The screen is also HDR10+ compatible and has a USB-C interface. It even supports digital voice assistants like Bixby or Amazon Alexa.
