Sennheiser SPORT TWS with 7mm driver, IP54 rating launched: price, specifications

Sennheiser has announced a new addition to its CX True Wireless headphone series. The global audio company has launched the Sport TWS earbuds. The new Sport TWS headphones from Sennheiser are aimed at gym enthusiasts and athletes. The hallmark of the Sports TWS earbuds is their adaptive acoustic feature, which allows athletes to switch between open and closed ear adapters to their liking.

The Sennheiser Sport TWS earphones feature a 7mm driver, Adaptable Acoustic, up to 9 hours of battery life, IP54 rating and more. Let’s take a look at the new headphones released by Sennheiser.

The Sport TWS earphones will go on sale starting May 3rd for a starting price of $143. It will be sold on major online platforms such as the Sennheiser website, Amazon and other retail outlets in the country. It is currently available in a single black color option. Please note that this is the starting price and the company may increase the price of the product in a few weeks.

Specifications of Sennheiser Sport TWS headphones

The Sport TWS earphones are equipped with 7mm dynamic drivers. However, they do not support Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) like the CX Plus. It has ear adapters in three sizes. These earbuds come with an Adaptable Acoustic feature that allows athletes to choose between open or closed ear adapters and adjust EQ settings for a personalized training sound. This helps reduce noise and allows soft external sound to enter for a better listening experience. If the athlete does not want to hear extraneous sounds and wants to concentrate more on the exercise, then he can do this with a closed ear adapter and Focus EQ settings.

It has touch controls with which users can navigate through their playlist and activate voice assistants. It comes with Bluetooth 5.2 and support for audio codecs like SBC, AAC and aptX. There are four microphones in total.

The company claims that the Sports TWS earbuds can last up to 9 hours on a single charge. With a charging case, it can work up to 18 hours. A full charge takes about 1.5 hours and fast charging is supported. With a 10-minute charge, you can use these headphones for an hour. These headphones are IP54 rated, which means they can withstand sweat and dust. Each earbud weighs 6.8 grams and the charging case weighs 41.6 grams.
