iQOO 9 Series Equipped with Samsung GN5 Camera Sensor and 150 Degree Ultra Wide Lens
iQOO is preparing to launch the iQOO 9 series of smartphones. The company has already confirmed that it will launch the iQOO 9 series in China on January 5th. Ahead of the official launch, iQOO has started teasing several aspects of the iQOO 9 lineup. Just yesterday, the company confirmed that the iQOO 9 Pro will feature a Samsung E5 AMOLED display and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. Now, in a recent development, iQOO has confirmed the camera specifications of the iQOO 9 series. According to the teaser shared by iQOO on Weibo, the iQOO 9 line will feature a Samsung GN5 sensor.
iQOO 9 Series Camera Specification Confirmed
In addition, the teaser published by iQOO also confirms that the iQOO 9 series will have a 50MP main camera with gimbal stabilization. Another teaser posted by iQOO on Weibo also reveals that the iQOO 9 Pro will feature an ultra-wide lens that will offer a 150-degree field of view similar to that of the Realme GT2 Pro. In addition, it looks like the Pro model also offers a fisheye mode that allows you to take ultra-wide shots with more depth of field. In terms of previously announced specs, the iQOO 9 Pro features a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 16MP telephoto lens with OIS support.
The iQOO 9 vanilla model is also said to feature a 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 main camera. The 50MP main sensor is rumored to be accompanied by a 13MP ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree field of view and a 12MP Sony IMX663 telephoto lens. Both iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro should be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. These upcoming phones are rated at 12GB of RAM. In terms of software, the iQOO 9 line can boot Android 12 out of the box. As for the rest of the specs, the Pro model features a 6.78-inch QHD+ AMOLED LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
On the other hand, the iQOO 9 vanilla model is said to feature a 6.78-inch flat AMOLED display. For security purposes, the Pro variant has been confirmed to feature an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner. Both phones are rumored to pack a 4,700mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging.
