Leaked Redmi K50 series performance specs
The Redmi K50 series is expected to launch early next year in China, if not December 2021. Ahead of the launch, a new leak reveals the performance details of the Redmi flagship. According to MyDrivers, one of the flagship smartphones of the Redmi K50 series will feature MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 2000 SoC. MediaTek’s flagship chip based on the 4nm process is likely to be released later this year.
One of the three devices, likely the vanilla K50, will feature the Dimensity 2000. The Pro Redmi flagship could be powered by the Snapdragon 870 or its successor. Finally, the top-end Redmi K50 Pro+ could be powered by the Snapdragon 898, also known as the Snapdragon 8 Gen1.
The Dimensity 2000 is believed to have scored over a million points on AnTuTu, which is much higher than the Dimensity 1200 at around 7.15000 points. It is said to have a main core clocked at 3.0GHz and three high performance cores clocked at 2.85GHz. According to the leaked information, the chip’s four efficient cores will be clocked at 1.8GHz.
Other details of the K50 Pro+ model have also been leaked. Rumor has it that it is equipped with a 108 MP triple camera with a telephoto lens. We can expect the vanilla model to have a 48MP main camera, while the Pro model comes with a 64MP sensor. The Pro+ variant will also pack a 5,000mAh battery with 100W or 120W fast charging options. As expected, the Pro+ model will have at least a 120Hz AMOLED display. It is also said to include an optical in-display fingerprint scanner.
Redmi has not officially commented on the leaked specs. Therefore, it is recommended to treat leaked parts with caution.
