Sifu is mainly inspired by the great kung fu movie classics and several members of Sloclap practice martial arts, including Pak Mei Kung Fu. Throughout the development of the game, the team worked closely with Beijing and Hong Kong-based studio Kowloon Nights, which carried out various cultural checks to offer the most respectful outcome possible for Chinese kung fu culture.
