New Apple Watch fitness challenge set for March 8, 2023
International Women’s Day is celebrated annually on March 8th. It is a global holiday dedicated to issues such as gender equality, violence and abuse of women.
This year, for International Women’s Day, Apple has prepared a matching task that will appear on the Apple Watch a few days before the event.
To win this year’s competition and earn virtual rewards and stickers, Apple wants you to complete any workout for 20 minutes or longer using the stock Workout app or any third-party app that logs data into the Health database.
MacRumors reports that the call will be accompanied by the following message:
On March 8, show your support for the empowerment of women around the world. Complete any workout for 20 minutes or more to earn this reward. Record your time with the Workout app or any app that adds workouts to Health.
This is not the first time that Apple Watch owners have been able to receive virtual awards on International Women’s Day, as Apple has hosted similar competitions in previous years.
How Apple Watch Fitness Challenges Work
The Cupertino-based company regularly celebrates certain dates with challenges for Apple Watch owners. There is no specific schedule for upcoming tests. Sometimes a month or two can go by without any fitness challenge from Apple. In some cases, however, there may be several problems within one month.
For example, just in February, Apple released three fitness challenges: Lunar New Year, Black History Month, and Heart Month. The vast majority of calls, but not all of them, are available worldwide. Apple Watch wearers receive a signal on their wrist days before an upcoming fitness competition.
These challenges have been going on for years, but the prize is always the same: a special medal of achievement is unlocked in the Apple Fitness app, as well as animated stickers that can be used to spice up your Messages conversations and FaceTime video calls on your device phone Apple.
