The world’s first here is that the Motorola Edge X will feature Samsung’s new 200MP ISOCELL sensor. This advice also came yesterday from the source of the Ice Universe leak on Twitter. This is a departure from the norm as Samsung’s top camera sensors are usually adopted by Xiaomi before anyone else. Looks like Lenovo went better this time around.
200MP camera will be adopted by Moto first, then by Xiaomi in the second half of next year, and by 2023, Samsung will adopt 200MP.
On the other hand, the Omnivision OV50A sensor also debuts on the Motorola Edge X. The sensors are the world’s first smartphone camera sensor with a 0.61 micrometer pixel size. “The 50A is a superb quality flagship sensor with a long base and we are leading the way this time around, while the 60A is the best flagship front camera sensor from now until next year. This update will undoubtedly be Motorola’s most anticipated camera system,” Jin said on Weibo.
