Redmi K50 series smartphone with Snapdragon 870 and 12 GB of RAM appeared on Geekbench

Xiaomi is getting ready to unveil the rede K50 series phones in China. Just a couple of days ago, a Redmi K50 series phone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 was spotted on several certification sites. Now, in a new development, a Xiaomi smartphone with Snapdragon 870 has appeared in the Geekbench 5 database.

The phone has hit the Geekbench test website with model number 22021211RC and could be the upcoming Redmi K50. Let’s take a look at the information provided in the Geekbench listing.

Redmi K50 Specifications Listed on Geekbench

Xiaomi 22021211RC scored 963 in the single-core round of the Geekbench 5 test. Whereas, in the multi-core round of the benchmark, the score was recorded as 3123. The Geekbench listing also confirms that the phone will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and codenamed Munch. Based on this, the upcoming Redmi K50 series phone appears to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor.

Last year, Xiaomi used a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 on a vanilla Redmi K40. The phone was launched as Mi 11X and POCO F3 in global markets. Other than that, the Geekbench listing also confirms the presence of 12GB of RAM on the upcoming Redmi device. The phone will ship preloaded with Android 12, according to the listing.

Redmi K50 Pro design leak

Recently, the design makes and case of the Rede K50 Pro have been leaked on the Internet. According to the leaked information, the phone will offer a triple rear camera setup and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Once again, Xiaomi seems to be opting for a side-mounted fingerprint scanner rather than in-display fingerprint scanners for Redmi K-series devices.
