Snoop Dog Joins Faze Clan on Board of Directors, Acting as Content Creator
In an absolutely stunning announcement, it was confirmed that hip hop legend Snoop Dogg is indeed joining the FaZe Clan. Snoop will join Faze Clan’s board of directors once the company goes public later this year.
Snoop Dogg has been quite active in gaming over the years and has even launched his own esports league, as well as streaming on Twitch fairly regularly. Faze Clan announced that Snoop will become a member of the organization’s talent network. According to the announcement, Snoop will “co-create content, participate in key business initiatives, and launch branded merchandise by appearing on the FaZe Clan platform.”
On October 25, 2021, FaZe Clan announced it would merge with BRPM, a specialized acquisition company, to become a public company. The deal is expected to close in Sprint 2022 and Snoop will join FaZe Clan as a director, bringing his “extensive knowledge of the entertainment industry and his passion for Web3, games and culture.”

“The organic relationship between FaZe and Snoop has been building for many years now, so we are thrilled to officially welcome FaZe Snoop into the family. As the first internet kid and first generation gamer, Snoop has always understood the cultural connection between music, lifestyle and gaming,” said Kai Henry, director of strategy for FaZe Clan. “Today, Snoop is a prominent voice in the emerging Web3 community, and we have exciting plans to build a metaverse that opens up new opportunities for interaction for both of our fan bases.”
It will be interesting to see where this ultimately leads, but given Snoop Dogg’s unprecedented popularity in both mainstream entertainment and gaming circles, it has a lot of potential. Snoop also added that the prospect was eventually presented to him by his son, Cordell Broadus.
“It makes sense to partner with FaZe Clan both as a member of the team and as part of the board of directors,” said Snoop Dogg, Entertainment Icon. “Young people identify with their brand, and my son Cordell knew that, which is why he brought us together.”
