Apple MacBook Pro launch event likely to happen in October: report
Apple recently wrapped up the California Streaming event where it unveiled new iPhone 13 models. At the event, the company also unveiled new Apple Watch and iPad models. However, according to rumors, the company will release a new MacBook Pro based on the M1X. While that obviously didn’t happen, a new report says that Apple’s new Pro machines should be released very soon. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who keeps a fairly accurate record of Apple leaks, claims that MacBook Pros will be released in October. Let’s take a look at the details Gurman shared about the upcoming Apple MacBook Pro M1X.
Apple MacBook Pro launch dates announced
According to a new report, the Apple M1X MacBook Pro could be released in a few weeks. The new M1X chip will have two variants with 10 CPU cores. Gurman also revealed in his Power On newsletter that Apple is set to announce the M1X-powered MacBook Pro within the next month, according to MacRumors. Gurman echoed some of the previous posts about Apple’s custom silicon. He stated that the M1X variants would use a 10-core processor. Of the 10 cores, eight will be high-performance, while the remaining two will be high-performance. As for the GPU, the two variants will have 16 and 32 cores.
It is reported that the next Mac mini will receive a new M1X chip. However, it is unlikely that this new car will be released in November. Apple hasn’t confirmed any details yet, whether it’s a rumored event or any of its future products.
As for the MacBook Pro, Apple will reportedly introduce it in two screen sizes – 14 inches and 16 inches. The new MacBooks are said to have a redesigned case and support for magnetic charging. There are also rumors that Apple will introduce several new ports on the Pro machines, including the resurrection of the SD card slot and HDMI port.
