Realme April 7 Event Review: Realme GT 2 Pro, Realme 9 4G, Realme Book Prime, Realme Stick and everything else we know so far

Realme will be holding a mega event in India on April 7, where it is confirmed that the company will launch at least five new products. A couple of weeks ago, the brand confirmed the launch of the Realme GT 2 Pro flagship phone in India. Later, a new product was confirmed every couple of days, and the number of products increased to five. The company is ready to release two smartphones, a new laptop, a new TWS and a new streaming stick.

The star of the event will be the flagship GT 2 Pro, which was launched both in China and in the global market. Next, the brand announces the sixth device in the Realme 9 series, the Realme 9 4G. The Realme Book Prime will be launched as the company’s second laptop from the brand. Along with this, Realme Buds Air 3 TWS and Realme’s new affordable joystick will also be launched in India. In this article, we will take a detailed look at all these products and what we can expect from each of them.

April Realme event launch date, event time, where to watch it live

The Realme April event will take place on April 7 at 12:30 pm EST. The event will be streamed live on Realme India’s YouTube channel, with live updates posted on the company’s official social media channels.

Realme GT2 Pro

Realme GT 2 Pro will be the star of the show at the event. The device comes with a 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED LTPO screen at 120Hz and is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It comes with up to 12GB of RAM and is powered by a 5000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. In terms of camera, it offers a triple camera on the back with a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor, a 50MP 150-degree ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP microscope camera sensor. You get a 32MP selfie camera on the front.

Expected Price: Realme GT 2 Pro starts at Rs 63,000 globally and in India we can expect to be priced around Rs 60,000.

Realme 9 4G

Realme 9 4G will be the sixth device in the series and only the second 4G device. It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 680 SoC with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device will feature a 90Hz AMOLED display and is also confirmed to feature the world’s first Samsung ISOCELL HM6 sensor. The phone will come with a 108MP main sensor, a 120-degree wide-angle lens, and a 4cm macro lens. According to various leaks, the phone will have a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

Expected price: Realme 9 4G will cost less than Rs 20,000. Its price is said to be around 16,000 rupees.

Realme Book Prime

While it’s not exactly a new laptop, the Realme Book Prime will launch in India as the second laptop from the brand after the Realme Book Slim. The Realme Book Prime is equipped with an 11th generation Intel Core i5-11320H (Willow Cove architecture) processor built on a 10nm SuperFin process (i5-1135G7 in Book Slim). It also comes with a 35W TDP and a 50% improved cooling system, which are upgrades over the Realme Book Slim. This time around, the company is also introducing a 16GB RAM variant in India and a new Real Gree color variant.

Expected Price: Based on the prices of Realme Book Slim, Realme Book Prime is likely to be priced around Rs 65,000.

Headphones Realme Air 3

The Realme Buds Air 3 were unveiled at MWC 2022 with a 10nm LCP driver with dynamic bass boost and Bluetooth 5.2. Like the Buds Air 2, they also offer active noise cancellation with up to 42dB noise reduction. In terms of battery life, these earbuds are rated at 5.5 hours with ANC enabled and a total of 22 hours with the case included. With ANC off, these buds can last up to 30 hours.

Expected Price: Realme Buds Air 3 will cost less than Rs 4,000.

Realme Smart TV set-top box

Following the launch of the impressive Realme Smart 4K Google TV Stick, the company will now launch an affordable Realme Smart TV Stick with Full HD 60fps support. The HDMI streaming stick also supports HDR10+ content. The stick, unlike the 4K device, will run Android TV 11 and offer support for Google apps and services. Other features include 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and a quad-core ARM Cortex-A35 SoC.

Expected Price: Realme Smart TV Stick is expected to be priced under Rs 3,000 while the 4K model is expected to be Rs 3,999.
