Sonic the Hedgehog: Lots of Blue Hedgehog Announcements

Sonic will reappear in various games, movies, TV shows, and even official fan merchandise.

Ivo Gerskovic, Chief Brand Officer of Sonic the Hedgehog, and Takashi Iizuka, Chief Creative Officer of Sonic the Hedgehog, unveiled Japanese publisher Sega’s iconic new blue hedgehog-focused games planned for the coming months through a virtual event streamed on Youtube and Twitch platforms.

• Sonic Origins is the best way to play the original Sonic games (Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2 and 3, Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic CD) completely remastered with fresh ideas like Mirror Mode and new animations. The release is scheduled for June 23 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
• Sonic Frontiers – The license takes a big step forward, offering Sonic maximum freedom and speed in the heart of the Starfall Islands, with landscapes dotted with dense forests, overflowing waterfalls, or even vast deserts.
