Sony is reportedly working on a PlayStation equivalent to the Xbox Game Pass
Sony is reportedly working on a subscription service similar to Xbox Game Pass. However, three different proposals will be offered.
The Microsoft Xbox platform offers gamers a subscription service called Xbox Game Pass. To sum it up, we would say that this is Netflix suitable for video games. With a Game Pass subscription, you can access a large catalog of games that you can play anytime, anywhere for a fixed amount each month. Of course, this is a much cheaper solution than buying all the games individually, but you won’t necessarily have access to the latest games. What if Sony offered something similar?

That being said, Sony may be working on a very similar model today, of course, for its own ecosystem. At least that’s what the Bloomberg report says. According to their sources, Sony is working hard to offer a similar service, currently codenamed “Spartacus”. It will offer the same features as the Xbox Game Pass.
However, three different proposals will be offered.
However, it looks like this Sony-style service could be slightly different in that three different offers could be offered to interested users. The first offer will allow you to access features similar to PlayStation Plus – will this mean that the use of PlayStation Plus will be discontinued? -. The second offer will unlock a catalog of games very similar to Game Pass, while the third and final offer will additionally include extended demos, game streaming, and access to an expanded catalog that will place it alongside Game Pass Ultimate.
This Sony-style service could launch in the spring of 2022, but there is no more precise date in the Bloomberg report. In any case, if you are a PlayStation player, this is a service that can be very interesting. To be continued!
