After laying off half of its employees, Twitter is asking some to return to work.

At the very least, we can say that the situation on Twitter is currently chaotic. The multi-billionaire has initiated an extensive plan of layoffs, but it seems that the period is completely unsuitable for this and that some important employees were ousted by mistake.

Just days after parting with half of its payroll, Twitter asked some employees to return to work, according to a Bloomberg report. The newspaper cites two sources working at the company: Twitter management sometimes allowed employees to leave accidentally, sometimes not realizing that their experience was necessary to develop the features Elon Musk wanted on the platform.

Twitter, contacted by Engadget about the game, was unwilling to respond to this new information. Casey Newton of Platformer was the first to announce the move, sharing posts from one of the company’s internal Slack channels. According to one report, the company is looking for Android and iOS developers.

This decision to recall some employees comes to the end of a very chaotic Twitter weekend. On Friday, the company began by laying off about 3,800 employees, affecting teams across all segments of the company, including those responsible for accessibility development. This Saturday, the company began rolling out its new paid verification system. The next day, she made the decision to postpone this deployment until the US midterm elections in the coming days.
