Friends list not working in Fallout 76 [Fix]
Fallout 76 is more fun to play with friends in a squad. Surviving in the face of disagreement while chatting with comrades is not a bad option at all. However, due to a glitch, Fallout 76’s friend list/social menu became glitchy and eventually stopped working. It’s annoying, right? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Read to the end to find out all the possible solutions for this.
Fallout 76 Social Menu Not Working – Fixed
Here are a few things you can try if your friends list isn’t working:
Check server status
A server issue could cause the Social/Friends menu to not work properly. Use this link to visit the Bethesda website which will let you know if the servers are working properly. You can also check the developer support twitter page for cross checking and more information about this bug.
Invite from main menu
An alternative way to add friends in Fallout 76 is from the Social Menu tab in the main menu. You can try this method until the developers fix this friend list issue.
Synchronization error
For those who play it on Xbox, be aware that it takes some time for the Xbox Live and Fallout 76 friends list to sync. What’s more, players who are logged into Fallout 76 will show up in their friends list. In addition, Xbox One players must follow each other in order to appear on the friends list.
Change settings
There is a chance that your Fallout 76 friends list is not working due to changed settings. Make sure the following options are selected:
- Look, you are online – Friends
- View game and app history – adult default
Reboot your device
Last but not least, try restarting your computer or console. This will give your system a much needed reboot. After that, try launching Fallout 76 again and check if your friends list is working.
That’s about all you can do when your friends list isn’t working in Fallout 76. While you’re here, be sure to check out our other Fallout 76 guides.
