Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is a new series for Paramount+.
The Star Trek universe will expand with Starfleet Academy.
After Star Trek: Picard, Star Trek: Prodigy, Star Trek: Short Treks, and soon Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, streaming platform Paramount+ orders the TV series Star Trek: Starfleet Academy at the request of American producer Alex Kutzman. Under the same name as a video game from the late 1990s, it follows young students at Starfleet University as they prepare to take on senior positions in the Federation space force.
Please note that Gaia Violo, one of the creators of Absentia, is currently working on a project that should see the light of day next year. Finally, Paramount+ assures that the Section 31 spin-off dedicated to the character of Michelle Yeoh, also known as Philippa Georgiou, is still in the discussion stage: “We need to think several years ahead. We think we know we’ll need new shows on the air in two to three years, so we need to start planning for them right now. There are a lot of things in development right now that are starting to take shape, and we’re really excited about that.”
