One of the best Star Wars video games ever made is coming to Nintendo Switch soon. Along with the announcement of Respawn Entertainment’s 2023 launch of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Disney also revealed that Aspyr is currently working on refining a Big H port of the acclaimed Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords from 2004. The studio even has a Restored Content DLC planned for the game. Very good news for one of the rough diamonds of this license.

Indeed, many Star Wars fans love the interpretation of the conflict between the Jedi and the Sith in this Knights of the Old Republic II (KotOR) game. Unfortunately, the game was released too early, in part because its developer, Obsidian Entertainment, best known for Fallout: New Vegas, only had 14-16 months to complete the project.

Obsidian was then forced to remove the content, including the full game planet, in order to meet the deadline set by publisher LucasArts. After the studio moved on to other projects, a group of fans began working onThe Sith Lords Restored Content Modfor PC, promising to give players a version of the game as close to Obsidian’s original vision as possible. And they certainly succeeded. The PC version of The Sith Lords is clearly the best way to experience Knights of the Old Republic II.
While we’re still waiting for more information about the Restored Content DLC, Aspyr has already announced that this KotOR II is coming to Nintendo Switch on June 8th. The studio is also working on a remake of the original PS5 game.
