Star Wars: Respawn Entertainment develops and produces three new projects
Electronic Arts and Lucasfilm Games renew their partnership to deliver never-before-seen world-class experiences in the beloved Star Wars galaxy, alongside American studio Respawn Entertainment.
The first Respawn Entertainment team led by game director Stig Asmussen is currently working on the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the second team of the American studio led by game director Peter Hirschmann is preparing a brand new FPS in the Star Wars universe and finally, the third team of the Electronic Arts subsidiary, has teamed up with Bit Reactor, led by Greg Furstch, to bring a revolutionary strategy game in the spirit of XCOM to life.
“We are thrilled to continue working with the incredibly talented developers at Respawn,” said Douglas Reilly, vice president of Lucasfilm Games. “They have shown a mastery in telling epic Star Wars stories and delivering top-notch gameplay across genres, and we look forward to bringing even more amazing experiences to a galaxy far, far away.” Sean Shoptow, Senior Vice President of Walt Disney Games, added: “Building on the previous successes of our relationship with EA, this new collaboration underscores the trust and mutual respect between the world-class teams at EA, Respawn and Lucasfilm Games. Inspired by the experience and passion of each team, we will create compelling original games for a wide variety of audiences across the Star Wars galaxy.
Respawn Entertainment is recruiting for three Star Wars projects
Vince Zampella, managing director of EA Studios and founder of Respawn Entertainment, explained that the development process for three new games has already begun and that recruitment is still ongoing: “We are huge Star Wars fans and we are excited to be working with Lucasfilm Games. about new games we’ve wanted to make for years.
