Each NFT will have a point value based on its rarity, and the more tokens you earn, the more new rewards you’ll unlock. They can range from making a virtual espresso martini to being invited to an event at Starbucks Reserve Roasteries to traveling to Costa Rica to visit one of the company’s coffee suppliers.
NFT to collect
There will be multiple ways to collect tokens, which Starbucks calls “collectible digital stamps.”By completing “journeys”, mostly games and quizzes, you will earn “travel stamps”. Of course, Starbucks will also let you bypass all this by purchasing “limited edition tampons”directly through the Starbucks Odyssey website. In this case, you won’t even need cryptocurrencies as the company accepts good old traditional credit cards.
If you’re worried about Starbucks’ environmental impact with this web3 component integrated into its loyalty program, know that the company says Odyssey uses a Polygon-based proof-of-stake blockchain.
to win various awards
“Our vision is to create a place where our digital community can gather for coffee, engage in immersive experiences, and celebrate the legacy and future of Starbucks,” said Brady Brewer, Starbucks executive vice president and chief marketing officer. Starbucks employees and loyalty program members can now join a waiting list to test the Odyssey as soon as possible later this year.
