The Valve Steam Deck portable console never stops being talked about. And today there is good news about its potential game catalog. Indeed, the company recently announced that games using the Epic Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) software can now run perfectly on the console.

Valve even explained that adding games via EAC to the Steam Deck is ultimately a “simple process”. Developers won’t even need to update their SDK version or make any changes, which can take a long time. A few months later, Valve added support for BattlEye via the Proton for Linux compatibility layer, and the company is proud to announce that “this means two of the biggest anti-cheat services are now easily supported on Proton and Steam Deck.”In practice, this should mean that more of your favorite games will run on the Valve console when it becomes available next month.

Of course, it’s one thing for Valve to make it easy for developers to keep their games running smoothly on Steam Deck, but it’s quite another thing to go the extra mile to ensure compatibility. For now, when Valve announced support for BattlEye in December, the company said that developers only had to contact Valve to activate the software for their games. However, there is still no confirmation that popular Steam multiplayer games using BattlEye and EAC, including Rainbow Six Siege and PUBG, will work from day one on the Steam deck. In any case, Valve tried to answer this question with the recently announced Deck Verified program. And this week, the American company added at least 67 titles to its database, 39 of them should also run on the device without any problems.
