Studio Dream Daddy is working on a psychological horror
It’s been a long time since we last heard from Game Grumps, the studio that gave us Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator in 2017. This week the team decided to officially announce their latest project. And the last one couldn’t be more different than his previous project.
Game Grumps describes Homebody as a narrative psychological horror game. While creating the entire gameplay, the team explains that they took inspiration from 1980s slasher films, we can also easily see the influence of modern games and other older games like Silent Hill, Resident Evil or Hideo Kojima. And that slightly pixelated art style, as well as the very clever use of light, contributes greatly to the atmosphere of the game.
Homebody will make you avoid the ruthless killer
In a trailer provided by the studio, we discover Homebody’s character, Emily. You will have to help Emily and her friends escape from a ruthless killer, by avoiding the attacker of course, but also by solving puzzles and making wise choices. Homebody also allows Game Grumps to find Rogue Games, the publisher he worked with on Dream Daddy.
Both companies plan to launch Homebody in the coming months on consoles and PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam.
