Nothing will unveil its Nothing Phone 1 on July 12th in London, but here’s what the back will look like.

Nothing is a very young brand created by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei. So far, the company has only sold a pair of true wireless earbuds, which are very interesting, but we always knew that the brand would release a smartphone. And today this launch is inevitable. The official presentation of Nothing Phone 1 will take place on July 12, but we have already reviewed its appearance.

Although the launch of Nothing Phone 1 won’t be until a month from now, the brand has already begun its marketing campaign, showing the world what its device will look like, so to speak. To some, this may seem like a combination of the back of the iPhone X – with a dual camera in an oblong module – with the flat edges of the iPhone 12. However, the back here is transparent, revealing a wide coil for wireless charging, several screws – things you will not see on smartphones today, as well as the enigmatic design previously introduced by company founder Carl Pey.

Nothing has provided no other details in the various teaser posts, but we can imagine the brand still has a few tricks up its sleeve. Especially as Carl Pei announces an “open and diversified product ecosystem”with this device.

For now, it is known that Phoen 1 will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip, most likely a mid-range one, and the operating system Nothing OS, a version very close to the original Android, with some design changes. Nothing’s design team is led by former Dyson chief designer Adam Bates, who joined the company in early 2022.

“Nothing Phone 1″will be issued in London on July 12 at 17:00 (French time). The event will be streamed live on the Nothing website, but you must pre-register here.
