Tales of the Walking Dead: New Anthology Series Featuring Old and New Characters

The episodic anthology format of Tales of the Walking Dead will serve to attract new viewers in addition to old fans.

If The Walking Dead: World Beyond has already ended, then the second part of the final season of The Walking Dead will be released at the end of February, and Fear the Walking Dead will return to screens at the beginning of the year. Far from jaded, AMC still has plans to expand the universe of the live-action comic book adaptation created by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard with Tales of the Walking Dead. This anthology will consist of six independent hour-long episodes focusing on old and new characters.

Channing Powell, who wrote and produced The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead, will helm Tales of the Walking Dead, working closely with The Walking Dead Universe Content Manager Scott M. Gimple: “I started out as a fan, and ended up as showrunner. of what I hope will be one of its most unique spin-offs. It’s crazy and I’m so grateful to AMC and Scott for supporting me and my writers as we pushed and pulled and twisted the boundaries of this universe to bring something new and unexpected while hopefully keeping what the mainstream audience loved so much.. a lot about the flagship series.”
