TapHeartConfirm forces Instagram app users to confirm before liking or disliking something.
It’s very easy to accidentally like, as opposed to posting to the Instagram feed, and depending on the circumstances, this experience can be nerve-wracking and sometimes even respect-destroying because the person on the other end of the like or dislike is likely to understand. It was you.
A recently released free jailbreak tweak called TapHeartConfirm from iOS developer CydiaGeek, on the other hand, can help prevent accidental and embarrassing likes or dislikes on your Instagram feed by requiring you to confirm your action before officially ending.
In the example screenshot above, you can see what the confirmation message looks like. When you try to like or dislike something in your Instagram feed using the built-in Heart button, a pop-up appears asking you if you’re sure you want to like or dislike.
Pressing “no”cancels the action and keeps the other party in the dark about your accidental press, while pressing “yes”ends the action.
TapHeartConfirm does not have any configuration options and is available as a free download from the BigBoss repository via your favorite package management app.
The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 12, 13, and 14 devices running the latest version of the Instagram app at the time of this writing, which is version 247.0. Please note that future Instagram updates may break the TapHeartConfirm tweak, requiring an update from the tweak’s developer.
