Textyle 3 provides advanced text formatting for editable text strings on jailbroken devices.
Most of the text you enter in various apps on your iPhone is displayed in your phone’s system font, but if you’ve ever wanted your text to stand out, jailbreaking the font customization has always been the way to go.
iOS developer Ryan Nair just this week released the third version of his popular Textyle jailbreak tweak, dubbed Textyle 3. With it, users can customize text styles on the fly using the system action menu that appears after selecting text.
As you can see in the screenshots above, Textyle 3 works in any application that has editable text. For example, when sending a text message or iMessage in the Messages app, or creating a note in the Notes app.
There are other examples, but it’s worth noting that you can’t just select text on a web page and format it however you like, because it’s not editable text; unless, of course, you’re formatting editable text in something like a comment box on a forum or blog.
Here’s an animated GIF showing the tweak in action for your enjoyment:
As you can also see in the screenshots above, Textyle 3 includes several different fonts and text styles that you can enable in the tweak’s settings. Once enabled, these options appear in the action menu, so you can quickly and easily hide unwanted options by turning them off.
If you want to try the Textyle 3 jailbreak tweak, you can purchase it for $1.99 from the Havoc repository through your favorite package management app. The tweak supports jailbroken iOS and iPadOS 15.x-16.x devices.
