Michael Chow, CEO of The Believer Company, said:
Players are the best audience in the world. They are noble, intelligent, shrewd and endlessly inventive. Their investment of time, skill, and hard-earned money is sacred, and we will always put their needs first every step of the way as a studio. We look forward to adding passionate individuals to The Believer Company’s workforce, and we are actively looking for like-minded talent to believe with us. I am very excited to start this journey with Stephen Snow. He is a passionate, energetic defender of the players, who is sometimes fiercely protective of their interests. There is no better standard bearer for what we want to do.
The Believer Company aims to become a major development studio
Aiming to quickly become a big name in the video game industry, The Believer Company is also supported by several partners and strategic consultants who have pushed the boundaries of pop culture, technology and interactive art, including Michael D Entertainment and media industry leader Eisner, former McDonald’s CEO Don Thompson and Microsoft CTO Kevin Scott.
Stephen Snow, CTO of The Believer Company, added:
In recent years, some very interesting technologies have emerged. In our player-centric world, our goal is to bring select technologies into the development and gaming space, specifically to improve our players and the games they love. The introduction of free-to-play in North America and Europe with League of Legends has really changed the way games can work as a service. We pride ourselves on being able to responsibly shape the future. And we’re happy to say “no fucking thanks”to technology that won’t make the game more fun.
