The Last of Us Factions: Concept Art for Offline Multiplayer
After two years of development, The Last of Us Factions shows itself through illustration.
Neil Druckmann, co-president of Naughty Dog along with Evan Wells, reveals the first details about The Last of Us Factions, The Last of Us 2’s (over ten million copies sold worldwide to date) multiplayer mode that’s now Standalone: ”She as big as any single player game we’ve ever created, and even bigger. It has a story – the way we tell that story is very unique in this game. It has a brand new cast of characters – it takes place in a different place, in a different part of the United States… and it’s really cool. It’s being curated by Vinit Agarwal, Anthony Newman and Joseph Pettinati – all Uncharted and The Last of Us veterans – and you’ll see a lot more of them next year.”

Like The Last of Us remake, The Last of Us Factions is due out on PS5 sometime next year, but is also eligible for a PC version: “This is a hugely ambitious project. We are constantly developing our studio to create this massive indie game that will offer a huge world worthy of The Last of Us and Naughty Dog. Our goal with this new multiplayer release is to bring in new players as well as provide our most seasoned fans with an exciting new challenge.”
