This weekend, try out RunwayML, ToxiPets, and Superchat, among other apps
Hello everyone, it’s finally the weekend once more! It’s time for another iteration of our Apps of the Week compilation, so get ready. This week, we’ve got some excellent options for you, like an AI-driven video editor, a tool that determines whether food is safe for your cat to eat, and an AI conversation software that functions similarly to messaging. And as always, we’ve picked out a fantastic new game for you to play.
RunwayML
With RunwayML, AI continues to completely take over apps. It is a video editor that employs Gen-1 Magic AI video production to transform your mundane, outdated videos into something completely unique and imaginative. Taking or uploading a video, showing the app a reference image or choosing a preset, and then letting the Magic AI do its…magic. It’s fun to be involved in the early stages of some of this stuff, even though the final product is probably going to be quirky rather than outstanding.
ToxiPets
Speaking of AI, ToxiPets combines a camera with AI technology and veterinarian knowledge to protect your pets. Simply take a picture of the food (or its packaging) if you’re unsure whether it’s toxic for your pet to eat or not, and the app will search its database of thousands of toxins to determine what is and isn’t safe for your pet to eat. This gets a thumbs up from me because I can’t tell you how many times I’ve looked up foods that my dog wanted to eat or had already eaten.
Superchat – Delightful AI Chat
AI, did you hear that? I’m sorry, but there is simply no getting away from it these days. Superchat is attempting to make AI chat more approachable and user-friendly, which is an aim shared by many other apps. It’s designed to resemble a current messaging app, down to the numerous characters you can communicate with, including the classic ChatGPT, a writing assistant, a travel agent, etc., and the way your conversation history is divided into threads. Which do I give it? Interesting!
Black Book RPG
Black Book RPG is a game you should check out this weekend, if you’re searching for something to do. This game looks excellent and I think it was first released on PC before migrating to mobile. It blends a card-based role-playing game with an adventure game and tells the eerie story of a teenage sorceress who journeys around the rural countryside, putting an end to the problems of the locals by battling demons and performing exorcisms. Just so you know, the whole game costs $10. Nevertheless, you may play the entire prologue (which lasts for approximately an hour) for free before deciding whether or not to pay the money.
