The Nomad titanium strap and Apple Watch Ultra are a perfect match.
Like many others, I quickly ordered an Apple Watch Ultra as soon as the window for it opened and I received my Apple Watch on launch day. The two week wait gave me enough time to research and think about what strap or strap I would like to use with it on a daily basis.
Although I ordered my Apple Watch Ultra with an Alpine orange strap, I knew from the beginning that I needed a metal strap instead. Since the case was made from raw titanium, the first thing that came to my mind was a raw titanium bracelet suggested by our friends at Nomad.
Popular Choice
I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of these before the Nomad ordering system went into reverse order mode, and it looks like it was because I wasn’t the only person who thought this Apple Watch band would look amazing with a new wearable. Ultra. from Apple.
…And oh my god, it was a guess right on the money!
Not only is the raw titanium Nomad strap color-matched perfectly with the Apple Watch Ultra, but the lugs are a perfect fit, and the ease of size adjustment means it can be quickly fitted to any wrist size within reason. I, for example, have smaller wrists and had no problem adjusting to a comfortable length.
Even my colleague Christian said only good things about the quality of Nomad. Here is an excerpt:
The Nomad Metal Band is made from premium materials at half the price of an equivalent Apple in-house band, and gives your Apple Watch a very attractive and sophisticated look.
Tried and true
The raw titanium Nomad band now joins the black coated band I used on my black titanium Apple Watch Series 7 Edition model before this year’s update. The titanium band is precision-crafted with a high-quality finish and securely attaches your Apple Watch Ultra to your wrist with two small buttons and a strong magnet.
It is not cheap…
Nomad titanium bracelets are not cheap, costing $249 ; but if you’re already investing $799 in the new Apple Watch Ultra and don’t want to use the fabric or rubberized bands Apple provides out of the box, then you can go all the way and complete the titanium metal look.
Nomad offers a similarly colored metal band in stainless steel for almost half the price of $149. wrist, and looks more aesthetically pleasing.
Conclusion
As of this writing, Nomad’s current order is expected to continue until at least mid-November. They are currently taking orders, so Apple Watch Ultra owners who want to pair this metal band with their new smartwatch, as I did, will be doing themselves a favor by getting their order now before the back order date moves even further.
