Top 10 Best iOS Apps of 2021 from Apple

Looking for new iOS apps to install? Here are the top 10 of this 2021 from Apple.

Each year, the App Store Awards celebrate some of the best apps and games for Apple platforms and devices. It’s like the Oscars of the App Store: an award given back by the industry itself. To win such an award, you have to come up with something really successful, and sometimes it takes several years to receive this award.

As the new year draws to a close, it’s time to take a look at the best apps for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Mac. Not all from this year, some have had very successful updates in the last twelve months, putting them in a completely different category.

If you want to pass the time on vacation, be sure to check out the list below.

Toca Life World

Let’s start with Apple’s iPhone App of the Year, Toca Life World. If you’ve never heard of this, don’t panic. If you have children, you can ask them.

This is an app for kids that allows you to create your own character, visit different places and act out different stories. Children learn to express themselves in a safer environment than a platform like Roblox. The game is free to download, but apparently there are expansion packs available for purchase.

So it’s not necessarily the app for you on its own (although it’s very entertaining for adults), but if you have kids and want to keep them busy, this is a very good option.

spawn

While Apple didn’t win Procreate iPad App of the Year, we think it will easily win this award. It’s a digital drawing app, and this year’s Animation Assist feature has made some major improvements. Procreate sells for €9.99 with no in-app purchase, and every month there is a feature that makes the app even more efficient.

Procreate gets a special mention this year for implementing Animation Assist. You can draw characters, create paths, set perimeters, and hit the play button to see your drawing come to life. Magic.

LumaFusion

LumaFusion (€29.99) is for video editing what Procreate is for painting. It’s a multi-track editor that really unleashes its full potential on the iPad Pro with the M1 chip. The application is easy to use and allows you to edit six video tracks and six audio tracks at the same time.

Think of it like Final Cut Pro X for the iPad, which Apple has so far been ditching. Of course, you won’t have the same features or plugins, but with LumaFusion we’re getting a lot closer. The app is especially suitable for content creators who are just getting started and want to edit their videos wherever they are.

Carrot weather

A few years later, the mobile app market has leveled off. That’s what happened to Carrot Weather. It was a great weather app, but it had too few new features.

However, Carrot Weather has changed a lot this year. The app became free to upgrade to a subscription model. And it was a completely modular approach.

Carrot Weather users can now organize their apps however they want by creating themes with the settings you want to display and place however you like. The Apple Watch app is also a big hit (which perhaps explains why it’s the 2021 Apple Watch app). And the sense of humor remains.

Craft

Years ago, Evernote was a popular note-taking app. Today , Notion seems to be so honored, and for good reason. But on Apple platforms, especially Macs, Notion seems out of place.

So, here is Craft. If you’re looking for a document editing and note-taking app for the Apple platform, then this is the one for you. It is relatively new to the market, but already attracting a lot of attention. Visually simple, very beautiful and very fast. Compulsory.

Myst

Myst (€29.99) is back. The video game first saw the light of day in 1993. Nearly 30 years later, it was awarded the Mac Game of the Year 2021 title. Myst’s longevity is remarkable – it’s one of those games that gets updated all the time. – updated with every new platform that appears. An amazing new version for Mac is available today. The first-person adventure game is the same as always: explore the virtual world in an immersive manner, go on adventures and, of course, solve puzzles.

You can go

If there’s one app that’s become very popular this year, it’s Canva. It continues to grow in functionality and flexibility. Want to quickly create a poster? Use a Canva template. Story on Instagram? LinkedIn post? Canva will do all the work. Without any exaggeration, this is an indispensable tool for anyone who wants to create an online identity without taking a full course in graphic design.

Bumble

Dating apps come and go. Bumble (like Hinge) has managed to stay relevant even in 2021. Nothing has changed this year, but given Bumble’s commitment to privacy, it’s one of the best options by far.

Peanut

Peanuts is like Tinder, but for parents. This is a safe community designed around the experience of having a baby and making the first few years with your baby easier. It helps you connect with other parents who are going through or have gone through the same thing, share your experiences and get help.

You can find groups, connect with other parents, or even join voice rooms just like in Clubhouse.

MARVEL Future Revolution

MARVEL Future Revolution is an MCU fan’s dream. It’s an open-world RPG that has the best of Marvel, from an Avengers battle in New York to the latest Eternal-inspired update.

Sure, it’s an RPG, but the adventure is customizable. You can create, modify and improve your characters. You can choose their abilities and even choose their costume – over 400 million possible combinations per hero. It’s the best way to immerse yourself in your favorite comic book universe on your smartphone.
