TrollStore has been updated to version 1.3 to make it easier to install apps, show more app data, and other improvements.
The popular TrollStore permanent signature utility for iOS and iPadOS 14.0-15.4.1 (and some 15.5 betas) received an update from iOS developer opa334 to version 1.3 on Saturday with some notable improvements.
Announced on Twitter just tonight, we can understand from the changelog that TrollStore v1.3 introduces the following differences compared to the previous v1.2.2 release:
and it should fix itself – add a setting to temporarily register the installed TrollStore app as “User”(it won’t start in this state, but it’s useful for tweaking its settings, either via iTunes File Sharing or using the Application Manager) – Massive Internals code refactorings – Added launch screen to fix broken animation when opening TrollStore app – Fixed a bug that caused the persistence helper not to display the delete button when embedded into the app. system application via iTunes File Sharing or via Application Manager)- Massive internal code refactorings- Added launch screen to fix broken animation when opening TrollStore app- Fixed persistence assistant not showing delete button when embedded into app. system application via iTunes File Sharing or via Application Manager)- Massive internal code refactorings- Added launch screen to fix broken animation when opening TrollStore app- Fixed persistence assistant not showing delete button when embedded into app. system application
Referring to the notes posted on GitHub page opa334 for the latest release, anyone who did not install TrollStore version 1.2.2 before today’s update may need to install the TrollStore tar twice to get the URL scheme to work properly.
As you may have noticed from the changelog notes, TrollStore v1.3 is in many ways a quality-of-life improvement that should make it easier for users to navigate and use the utility in their daily activities. However, TrollStore is getting more functional every day and also getting more user-friendly for the end user.
If you haven’t used TrollStore before, it’s essentially an elevated sideloading platform that not only downloads the app, but permanently signs it with a CoreTrust bug. With that in mind, you will never need to re-sign apps installed with TrollStore as iOS automatically trusts them indefinitely. Elevated privileges mean apps installed from TrollStore can do things we normally only expect from jailbreak settings, so you can see why it’s become so popular.
Anyone already using an older version of TrollStore is advised to install the latest update as soon as possible. The in-app update mechanism over the air (OTA) is the fastest and easiest way to install it.
If you haven’t used TrollStore before and would like to, you can get the utility from the developer’s GitHub page.
