TrollStore has been updated to version 1.4.5 with various bug fixes and improvements.
TrollStore, a utility from iOS developer opa334 that allows you to permanently sign apps on devices running iOS and iPadOS 14.0-15.4.1 (and some 15.5 betas), received an update on Thursday that officially updated the software to version 1.4. 5.
Announced on Twitter on Thursday afternoon, version 1.4.5 of TrollStore appears to be a bug fix and quality of life update that fixes issues that users may have experienced. The changelog lists the following changes in the update for those who are interested:
– Fixed issues when installing apps with “com.apple”ID prefix. – Fixed an issue in the uicache implementation that was causing group containers to not be removed when the app was removed from the home screen (so removal from the home screen was re-enabled). but only on iOS 15 because iOS 14 still has a limitation issue) – Fixed an issue that could cause the Fugu15 app to appear as the destination for the save helper – The option to update registration in TrollHelper is now also shown in case when TrollStore itself has been uninstalled, but the system still has TrollStore applications installed – add the ability to copy the debug log in case of installation failures
If you are already a TrollStore user, you can and should update to the latest version using the over-the-air (OTA) update mechanism in the TrollHelper app. Anyone who is not yet using TrollStore and would like to do so should get it from the developer’s GitHub page.
TrollStore can be installed on both jailbroken and non-jailbroken devices and allows you to permanently sign apps on supported versions of iOS and iPadOS due to a powerful CoreTrust bug. The effect is similar to downloading unpublished applications using utilities such as AltStore and Sideloady, except there will be no seven-day signing period due to the permanent signing effect.
