TrollStore has been updated to version 1.5.1 to fix a bug that was causing crashes on deletion.
TrollStore developer @opa334 on Tuesday released a small update to the popular permanent app signing utility for iOS and iPadOS 14.0-15.4.1 (and some 15.5 and 15.6 betas), and it should be on your radar if you’re an existing user. or plan to use TrollStore in the future.
Announced this afternoon on twitter, we can conclude that version 1.5.1 of TrollStore simply fixes a crash that might have occurred when trying to uninstall the TrollStore app.
This would obviously be an annoying mistake as it could prevent users from uninstalling the app, as they would encounter a crash when trying.
After the latest update, trying to uninstall TrollStore should work as expected, completely removing the app instead of causing a crash.
If you are already a TrollStore user, you can easily update to the latest TrollStore version using the in-app update button. But if you’re not using TrollStore yet, be sure to download and install the latest version via the GitHub page if you’re going to.
With TrollStore you can install any file efficiently. ipa on your iPhone as a handy app. This is similar to unpublished download with AltStore or Sideloady, except that the CoreTrust bug that TrollStore uses allows any permanently signed apps to remain signed indefinitely, not just seven days.
Due to the nature of this bug, TrollStore will never support newer firmware than what is already there. We have detailed why.
