Carina Nebula NASA iPhone Wallpaper
The iDownloadBlog Wallpapers of the Week collection brings you incredible photo-quality backgrounds for your favorite Apple devices every Sunday. In this edition, you’ll find an incredible, iPhone-optimized wallpaper featuring a recent NASA photo of Carina Nebula taken by the James Webb Space Telescope. The colorful image, dotted with stars, planets and other galaxies, creates a gorgeous canvas.

According to a NASA press release, “The James Webb Space Telescope is the world’s leading space research observatory. Webb will unravel the mysteries of our solar system, peer beyond distant worlds around other stars, and explore the mysterious structures and origins of our universe and our place in it. Webb is an international program led by NASA together with its partners, ESA (European Space Agency) and the Canadian Space Agency.”
The first wallpaper below is optimized with regular iDB, @ AR72014. The background has been changed from the larger “Space Rocks”image taken by the Webb Telescope. “This landscape of ‘mountains’ and ‘valleys’ is actually the edge of a nearby stellar nursery called NGC 3324 in the northwest corner of the Carina Nebula.”The nebula is about 7600 light years away. The second image below is the South Rim Nebula, also taken by NASA and optimized by @AR72014.
While we are talking about the space theme with NASA wallpapers for iPhone, the following two images are loaded according to iOS 16 Earth images. One of the flagship new features of iOS 16 is customizable lock screens with new stock images and quick browsing widgets. The next two images are part of this update, where the lock screen includes a large, centered image of the Earth, and the Home screen option leaves the top space for icons.
