Ubisoft Announces Splinter Cell Remake
Ubisoft announces new Splinter Cell game, it will be a remake, not a remaster.
If you’re a fan of the successful Ubisoft Splinter Cell license, you might be desperate to see a new version of the game hit the market. The most recent one dates from 2013, which is honestly a long time for such a popular saga. Then you might quite rightly wonder if Ubisoft has made the decision to drop the franchise, but know that, thankfully, that hasn’t been the case.
Ubisoft Announces New Splinter Cell Game
In truth, the publisher just announced that they are currently working on a remake. According to game producer Matt West, “I think it should be more of a remake than a remaster. While we’re still in the very early stages of the project’s development, we’re trying to make sure that the spirit of the early games remains completely intact, in all the aspects that shaped Splinter Cell’s identity.”
This is going to be a remake, not a remaster.
And Matt West added: “As we build it all together, we need to do some visual updates as well as some tweaks to some design elements to give players some comfort and to meet their expectations and we will keep a linear progression like the original games, so it’s out of the question to make it an open world game.”
The game in question will be developed by Ubisoft Toronto, which, for those who don’t know, are the developers of Far Cry 6. The game will also be developed on the company’s Snowdrop engine, which is used in Avatar: Pandora’s Borders and in Ubisoft’s upcoming Star Wars release. war.”At present, no one knows when this new Splinter Cell game will be released, but as Matt West points out, the project is only in its early stages. So it will definitely take time to find out.
