Veteran Patrick Plourd is leaving Ubisoft after a long career in French publishing.

Toxic culture at Ubisoft, cleanup continues

Importantly, Patrick Plourd has been cited as one of the main perpetrators of the toxic work culture, harassment, abuse and discrimination that has affected Yves Guillemot’s company. In addition, the group, founded by many current and former Ubisoft employees, strongly criticized the retention of Patrick Plourd as editorial group vice president late last year despite numerous allegations of wrongdoing filed against him.

It remains to be seen if Patrick Plourd’s departure will lead to better working conditions for Ubisoft employees.
