Shrink: First lead role in a TV series for Harrison Ford
American comedian Harrison Ford arrives at the casting of the TV series Shrink.
In his first major role in a television series, Harrison Ford will play Dr. Phil Rhodes in Shrink, a ten-part comedy series soon to air on Apple TV+. Written and executive produced by Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence.
Dr. Phil Rhodes is a hard-working, down-to-earth, lightning fast psychiatrist with an unceremonious but constant wink. This pioneer in CBT has amassed a successful practice over the years, which he shares with his two young protégés, Jimmy and Gaby. Extremely independent, he recently learned that he has Parkinson’s disease, forcing him out of his comfort zone as he struggles with obsessive friends, estranged family, and his legacy.
New comedy series for Apple TV+
The Compression will be produced by Warner Bros. Television and Doozer Productions by Bill Lawrence. Jason Segel, Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein are writers and executive producers, Jeff Ingold is an executive producer, and Lisa Katzer is a co-executive producer.
