Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Upcoming DLC Details Leak Revealing 40-Hour God of War-Style Expansion

The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla release roadmap looked pretty good at the start of the year and looks set to get better soon. New DLC for the game is due to be revealed during The Game Awards on December 10, 2021, according to new leaks. The DLC will apparently be released in December itself, but that’s not the only expansion Ubisoft has planned for the game.

The latest leaks from Tom Henderson suggest that Ubisoft is apparently working on a big DLC expansion scheduled to launch in March 2022. This new DLC expansion will apparently bring 40 hours of additional content to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and curiously, it’s said to be a God of War-style expansion.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to get many more DLC expansions

What the God of War-style expansion might mean is anyone’s guess, but given Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s roots in the Norse mythology it shares with God of War, there’s a very straight through line there. On the one hand, this could mean that the expansion could infiltrate the Asgard Valhalla quest chain where Eivor takes the form of Xavi/Odin.

Maybe Assassin’s Creed wants to return to its action-adventure style roots, ditching RPG elements for a single expansion. Ubisoft has yet to comment on the veracity of these leaks and has yet to reveal any DLC expansions.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla had a pretty decent launch and was able to offer players a lot of solid post-release content with expansions like The Siege of Paris and Wrath of the Druids. It will be interesting to see what direction Ubisoft would like to take the game further, and if players respond well to that direction.
